Swimming.

Wrigglebot has just started swimming lessons. Now I think I have talked before about the very real possibility that I could become a stage mother so I am trying to keep my enthusiasm in check although Wrigglebot is terribly advanced. He loves it, he starts kicking his legs as soon as he sees his bathers (that means that he is excited) and when he sees the water, it doesn’t matter how tired he is he will go for it. Which is why we have him in lessons with the priority on safe entrances and returning straight to the edge after going into the pool.

The main reason that I put him in lessons apart from the safety issues was to have something fun to do with him. Sometimes I find it difficult to ‘play’ with him for an extended amount of time. Right now he is more interested in moving around and putting things in his mouth than sitting down and playing with a toy (or cardboard box) so swimming lessons it is. He giggles and smiles and splashes and we have fun and he loves it and I love it because he loves it.
