I don’t know how single mothers do it. Husband has been working late with an impending deadline leaving me to do all of the prebed routine, and everything else, with Wrigglebot. By about six when Wrigglebot begins getting ready for bed I am exhausted, he is exhausted and there are five things that need to be done all at once; water run in bath, get a towel, undress Wrigglebot, get his PJs out and get him into the bath before the water gets cold.

To make it all worse, this week Wrigglebot has been a little sick, diarrhoea- lovely, the house still smells. All this is nothing compared to the women who do it all alone every day. It has made me appreciate my husband who I can tag-team with. And so I just want to say to all those single mothers, ‘Have a very happy Mother’s Day, I hope you are pampered all day long because you definitely deserve it.’
