Boys and Trucks.

May 4, 2007

I was talking to a friend once who had recently started his own Bobcat business. I asked him how he was finding it and he said; ‘You know, I quite enjoy it, and any time I’m not so sure if this was the right move I just look around as I am driving from job to job in the truck with the Bobcat on the back  and  I see little boys staring up at the truck and Bobcat with smiles on their faces because it is every little boys’ dream to drive a truck.’

I thought this was a nice little anecdote but I didn’t realise how true it was till Wrigglebot came along. Wrigglebot is only nine months old yet whenever a truck, particularly the garbabe truck, comes down our street he rushes to the window and watches it with a big smile. Later in life Wrigglebot may decide that he wants to be a politician or an author or a policeman, it doesn’t matter, but for now I think if he could choose anything it would be to sit there all day and look at trucks and big machinery.
