A special kind of funny.
Some people have a special kind of funny, a funny that makes babies, who understand little, laugh and laugh and laugh while adults look on in amazement. Wrigglebot’s nanna is one such person, she raises an eyebrow and he laughs, she wriggles a toe and he laughs, she pulls his leg while he is trying to crawl and he laughs, in fact whatever she does he laughs at, even when she isn’t trying to be her special kind of funny.
Now, Husband considers himself quite the comedian. He likes to relive his witticisms time and again and glories in how funny he is; and I must admit, he is funny, people laugh with him and at him a lot. So it comes as a bit of a surprise to him and many others that he is not as funny to Wrigglebot as Nanna. Nanna is not that funny to grown ups, she laughs more in response than as the instigator of the laughter but she just has that special kind of funny that little ones, or at least Wrigglebot, love. Husband is still desperately hoping that as Wrigglebot’s language and comprehension skills improve he will go up in the funny stakes, at least ahead of Uncle Nay Nay anyhow, whose special gift is annoying (at least to us) noises.
